SOAP EXPERIENCE –A WINNER  

The UK’s Giftware Association has just unveiled the list of winners of its prestigious annual Gift of the Year Awards revealing that Chapel-en le Frith Based Wild-Olive Ltd  has been Highly Commended in the 2010 competition.

The company’s Soap Experience has been selected in the Body, Mind and Soul category which features products which complement and enhance personal health and welfare.

Gift of the Year Awards are only given to the latest most original and innovatively designed products that can be given as gifts.  However, entrants also have to demonstrate that the product is commercially viable.

Julie Holmes, owner of Wild-Olive  believes that it is the quality of the hand-made soap we produce and the unique aspect of the gift which allows the customer to try 9 varieties of soap, choose their favourite  and then receive a free full size bar, which has ensured its place on the list of the nation’s most exciting gifts for 2010:

We believe in “real soap”, it is food for the skin, cleansing, exfoliating ,toning and moisturizing, and it smells gorgeous ,and fragrances the bathroom as well .It is made by hand locally, it contains no chemicals or  animal fats ,there is virtually no energy used in production and there is no waste. It contains pure essential oils to enhance wellbeing and this new gift “The Soap Experience” allows customers to re-engage with the true benefits of hand- made soap.  The Gift of The Year Awards is an excellent indicator of what’s going to be hot this Christmas and therefore, we are absolutely delighted to be Highly Commended.”

Wild-Olive has been operating for  2.5 years and has 3 employees and this is on the increase .It is fulfilling to be part of UK manufacturing company and making a product that is “Kind to YOU and Kind to the Environment”!

According to Isabel Martinson, chief executive of The Giftware Association, judging the winners and highly commended products in each category was extremely difficult:
